8 Reasons Why Project Based Learning is Better than a lecture.

1. Who wants to sit in a lecture and get..well lectured to learn…

When you could do a project and learn through engagement!

2. Project Based Learning creates things like this, from Ms. Eeva Reed’s Classroom.

(That’s right, a kid made that model back there)

But lectures create this…notice the blank slate

3. Let’s face it, projects show us how what we learn in school can be used in the real world.

4. Everyone may not be able to learn the same way but projects make sure everyone can learn!

5. Projects create a loving environment and passion for learning that truly engages the student

6. Projects build social skills to help different students to learn how to work with different people and attitudes at an early age. Which prevents situations like this…

7. Projects work with multiple learning strategies so everyone can get the most knowledge possible

8. Projects also develop any student’s ability to think at an early age by not only having to learn the material themselves, but by working through the problem while teaching peers as well to gain a full understanding. Sounds great right?

And because students can engage more in the subject they’re learning they have a better success rate…even in the hard class

  1. Wow! Great job! This has been the most creative reflection I have read yet! I loved all the gifs.. too funny. These kept me incredibly engaged in what you were saying. For my reflection, I basically hit the exact same points you did, just in a more simple and bland way. You have inspired me to get more creative with my work! One quick question, did it take much longer to finish this reflection than normal?
